Nestled at 5352 College Ave, this charming pub captures the spirit of a traditional Irish watering hole while integrating the warm vibes of an American bar, making it a fantastic spot for both locals and newcomers alike.

The atmosphere at McNally's is inviting and laid-back, enhanced by a vibrant community spirit. Many guests, like Sheila S, have expressed their love for the parklets that were constructed during the pandemic, which add a delightful outdoor charm that's perfect for soaking up the sun while enjoying a drink with friends and furry companions. Dogs are not only welcome but are treated to treats and fresh water, making it a truly pet-friendly establishment.

Step inside, and you’ll find a cozy space filled with friendly faces and a welcoming vibe. Whether it’s a chilly evening spent by the fireside or a sunny afternoon outside with a classic Irish pint in hand, there’s a spot for everyone. The pub features a pay jukebox and multiple TVs, ensuring that it caters to every type of patron—from sports fans to music lovers. As Mike Picot puts it, McNally’s is where “cool people are serving drinks” in a social and engaging atmosphere.

Drink aficionados will appreciate the solid selection of craft beers on tap, including local IPAs and beloved classics like Guinness and Smithwicks, which prompted recommendations from patrons such as David Spanne. The bartenders are noted for their responsiveness and friendliness, crafting a memorable experience with every pour. Plus, for those looking to settle in for a while, there’s a delightful offering of Irish coffees to sip and savor.

For fun, challenge your friends to a game of bumper pool or darts, or indulge in some nostalgic games like dice and backgammon—something that nick Nicora highlights as a signature of the pub's lively atmosphere. Affordable pricing adds another layer of appeal, making it a go-to meeting spot for many. Matthew Goldenberg emphasizes the pub’s welcoming local crowd, which makes McNally's a place where new faces quickly become familiar friends.

In essence, McNally's Irish Pub isn’t just a bar; it's a community hub brimming with personality and charm. If you haven’t stopped by yet, now’s the time to grab a pint, enjoy some good company, and soak in everything this delightful pub has to offer.

Started going much more during the pandemic when they built the parklets. Gave it a whole new feel. Great local bar for easy drink ordering, meeting friends, and taking dogs. My husband also likes to watch games there since it’s usually not crowded. You can also take food in which is very convenient. Dog treats and water available. Paid Jukebox. Table by fireside when it’s cold. Outside when it’s sunny. Back room doesn’t have the same feel as inside, but good for overflow. Back patio for smokers. Side gate is usually open to throw your trash in the bins. Games on the tvs. Snugs if you want to tuck away with your group, but the one by the fireplace blinds you with a lightbulb in the eye. St Patrick’s get packed. Get there super early if you want a seat.

Very Irish but more of an American bar than a pub, though I've only been to British pubs, not an Irish pub. They have several good IPAs from micro breweries, but I'd recommend the Smithwicks or Guinness. Bartenders are responsive and friendly.

Great local bar with no pretense. Good for a World Cup or Warriors game. Great drink specials. People actually mingle. A rarity in coastal California.

Always, an old fashioned favorite for Irish coffee. During the wèekdays, its mellow, quiet and great spot to relax or watch tv. Non frills pub/bar feel. More divey than classy. Very diverse crowd. Back area as well. All ages!
